Every week our pipeline scrapes the model catalogs and vendor blogs, then judges each item against one question: would this actually improve something we run in production? Verdicts below. Watch = interesting but unproven claims · Adopt = earned a place · Ignore = noise · Product Input = a feature idea, not a factory change.
30 items judged for 2026-W43. 7 survived the five gates: two named-product tooling swaps worth testing (LiteParse v2 for finalreview/allison/sec-compliance-vault; entity-level segmentation as a Factory Candidate fix for document-extraction row-loss across docreview/drake-tax-extract/secure-intake/floodstream), one cross-product model upgrade (Haiku 5.5 across 9 named products, auto-eval already queued), and three Watch items held for verification or lacking a bounded test (agentjacking via fake bug reports, Claude Tag in Slack, GLM-5.2 as a cheap Sonnet swap, Grok Build open-sourcing). The remaining 23 were dropped: three were already-backlogged duplicates (Karpathy posts), one was a same-family model SKU already judged, and the rest were Tier 3 generic pattern/newsletter content or immaterial items with no named product decision and no artifact change — mostly bytebytego/coderabbit/latent-space/dev.to synthesis pieces covering already-known agentic-engineering mechanisms.
GLM-5.2 is claimed to be a usable, cheap open-weight frontier-adjacent model runnable in existing agent harnesses, positioned as a cheap Sonnet-tier swap.
Why this verdict: Tier 3 aggregator summary buried under an unrelated SpaceX headline, no primary pricing/benchmark link. Directionally resembles prior real frontier events (kimi-k3, gpt-5.6) but is unverified, so it stays Watch pending a scorecard rather than being treated as a scored detection.
Claude Tag adds a persistent, async, multiplayer Claude agent inside Slack with git webhook triggers and ambient monitoring, usable today in beta.
Why this verdict: Source is latent.space's AINews aggregation (Tier 3), not Anthropic's own announcement, so it cannot clear Product Input without primary verification. No named product currently runs its core loop through Slack, so materiality is speculative today.
